Description
Blind flange is a kind of flange without hole in the middle, which is used to plug the pipe opening.
From the appearance of the blind plate, it is generally divided into plate blind plate, splayed blind plate, insert plate and backing ring.
There are many types of sealing surfaces, including flat, convex, concave convex, tenon groove and ring connection surfaces.

Characteristic
Blind flange plays the role of isolation and cutting, which is the same as that of head, pipe cap and welding plug.
There are generally four production processes, including forging, casting and forging, medium plate cutting and casting.
Among them, the price of forged products is the highest, followed by medium plate, and the price of casting and forging is the lowest.
Application
When the device needs regular maintenance, inspection or mutual switching, and the equipment involved needs to be completely isolated, the blind flange shall be set at the shut-off valve.
Blind flange shall be set at the shut-off valve when the process pipeline of pressure filling pipeline and replacement gas pipeline (such as nitrogen pipeline and compressed air pipeline) is connected with the equipment.
During normal production of the unit, some auxiliary pipes that need to be completely cut off shall also be provided with blind flanges.
