Description

Carbon steel elbow is a metal pipe fitting that changes the direction of the pipeline on the carbon steel pipe. The connection method includes screw thread and welding.

According to the angle, there are three most commonly used elbows: 45 ° and 90 ° 180 °. In addition, according to the needs of the project, there are other abnormal angle elbows such as 60 °.

The connection methods of elbow and pipe include: direct welding (the most commonly used method), flange connection, threaded connection, socket connection, etc.

Characteristic

The basic process of carbon steel elbow is as follows:

First, weld a polygonal ring shell or a polygonal sector shell with closed ends;

Fill the inside with pressure medium and apply internal pressure, so that the cross section gradually changes from polygon to circle, and finally becomes a circular ring shell.

A circular ring shell can be cut into four 90 ° elbows or six 60 ° elbows or elbows of other specifications.

This process is suitable for manufacturing large elbows of any specification whose ratio of pitch diameter to inner diameter of elbow is greater than 1.5 times. It is an ideal method for manufacturing large carbon steel elbows.

Application

Carbon steel elbows do not need tube blanks as raw materials, which can save the cost of pipe making equipment and molds, and can get elbows with any large diameter and relatively thin wall thickness.

It is suitable for pipeline series in oil, natural gas, chemical industry, hydropower, construction, boiler and other industries.
