Characteristic
Carbon steel olet is a single-sided V-shaped weld groove, and the form of weld can be determined as a combination of butt weld (groove weld) and fillet weld.
Butt welding olet is the most common branch connector. Its end is made into a groove and connected with the straight pipe by butt welding, so it is considered as a butt welded pipe piece.
The design of the butt welding olet minimizes the stress concentration and provides overall reinforcement. There are three pressure levels for butt welding branch pipe sets: STD, XS and sch160.
Application
Carbon steel olet are widely used in petroleum, chemical industry, sewage treatment, pharmaceutical, electric power, shipbuilding, natural gas, fire protection, mining and other industries.
At the same time, it can also be used in food, air conditioning, real estate, boiler, equipment, construction, tap water and other industries.
